Veterans Day Celebrations 2006

Holy Cow! I've just been searching local news websites this morning trying to find out when the local Veterans Day Parade begins -- it's not a hot topic with editors, I guess. Here's the local low-down..

Veterans Day Parade - Saturday, November 11 2006, 9:00 a.m., Fremont St & 4th St (it's usually better to see the parade from intersection of Carson Av & 4th St).

Nellis AFB Air Show - Saturday, November 11 2006, 08:00 ~ 16:30

Nellis AFB Air Show - Sunday, November 12 2006, 08:00 ~ 16:30

Public access to the air show provided via free shuttle bus service from the Las Vegas Speedway. Call (702) 652-7469 for information about the air show.

I've been to the air show at Nellis AFB before and it's an 'outstanding' show. The Thunderbirds are supposed to fly around 14:30 hrs on both days. What can I say about the parade? It's one of the few times when all you have to do is show up to make a difference.
